Sex and relationships: Youth follow up

"Sex is generally known as the least talked about activity and the most done activity among youth in Uganda." This was said by one of our leaders during the youth follow up a few weeks ago. A topic which was requested by our youth during the last follow up was sex and relationships. So our leadership team spoke from experience of mistakes and triumphs, used teaching material from Moral Revolution regarding 'sex and restoration' and 'sex and covenant' as well as an explanation of the biology and chemistry which occurs in the body during sex according to God's design. At the end of the weekend, some of the youth said it was their favorite follow up of the year. Most had never been talked to about the bonding aspect within our brains during intercourse or could give a Biblical reason for sex besides creating babies. It was heart wrenching to see youth having made choices without knowing all the facts. Shame was broken, hearts were healed and bodies were reclaimed. These youth are now better informed and will prayerfully make kingdom decisions regarding sex and their bodies in the future.

Responsibility is freedom Below is a picture of our youth coordinator Andrew and his wife and new baby son. Andrew had attended the youth school and follow up programs then came on staff at Mto Moyoni. But Andrew had a secret. He had a son but no one knew. One day the burning of Holy Spirit became too strong and he told the supervisor. His son then came to live with him and later he married the mom. They now have another child together and are celebrating! He shared his story of how first telling someone of his past and then taking responsibility as a father were steps towards his own freedom. What a light and example!! We prayed for the family and gave prophetic words over this new precious little boy.
