January Newsletter

I hope the holidays went well for each of you and that this new year is bringing new life and new adventures to you and your family! For me personally this winter was one of fighting through the work and stress brought on by snow to try and see the beauty. I love Christmas and I love snow as long as I’m cozily nestled inside somewhere warm. :)

This year has been a big one for Global Redemption. We have reached our one year anniversary of being incorporated as a nonprofit in January 20016. Within this past year we have had many accomplishments. To list a few:

  • Become incorporated as a nonprofit in the US

  • Build a board of directors in the US

  • Hire two part time staff members-administrator and bookkeeper

  • Founder Kelly Rompel begins traveling to share message and fundraise for GR (trips to Alaska, California and Canada to name a few)

  • Begin setup of Global Redemption as a nonprofit in Uganda

  • Build a board of directors Uganda

  • Hire one part time staff member in Uganda

  • Receive approval from IRS as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization eligible to receive tax deductible donations

  • Founder Kelly Rompel to make full time move to Uganda, East Africa 2/22/17

These accomplishments are due to the favor of Holy Spirit and your donations. We are deeply thankful to all who have financially invested in the vision of Global Redemption. Your gifts allow us to carry His vision forward into action.

As we look forward to 2017 there is great anticipation and excitement for us at Global Redemption. We are developing our budget, project visions and seeking further funding. With Kelly’s move to Uganda in February many things that have been in our hearts and on paper will be seen come to fruition. Our goals for the year are as follows:

  • Achieve nonprofit status in Uganda

  • Ugandan team to develop schedule for 10 month program

  • Ugandan team to develop curriculums

    • Topics to include financial planning, Father heart of God, nutrition/basic health care, orphan heart to sonship, forgiveness, character and integrity in business

  • Build relationships with community for outreach and vocational internship opportunities

  • Seek land to purchase for residential program

These goals are the foundational steps towards seeing the vision of the sons and daughters of God to be revealed. We believe that as the experience of God’s love as a Father washes over our past hurt and fear the world will be transformed, one person at a time.

We want to again thank those of you who have prayed, financially given and/or spent time assisting our work this past year. So many people have been involved and we are excited about that list of people expanding. With Kelly setting up permanent residence in Uganda once again we also have the availability of volunteer teams to visit her and the program in Uganda. :)

A special way to give is to help Kelly Rompel purchase her household items through our Going Away shower for her. The shower will be Sunday January 29th from 1-5pm at 21103 Charity Ln in Bend, OR. If you are unable to attend the shower there is an online shower registry at :  https://www.plumfund.com/charity-fundraising/from-bendor-to-ugandaeast-africa This registry enables your donation to be withdrawn in Uganda so that she can purchase these items upon arrival.

We thank you for your prayers, donations and encouragement! Hope to see you at the shower!
