First Things First

This week's blog is borrowed from one of my heroes of faith, Christine Caine

What marvelous love the Father has extended to us! Just look at it – we’re called children of God! That’s who we really are. But that’s also why the world doesn’t recognize us or take us seriously, because it has no idea who he is or what he’s up to.

But friends, that’s exactly who we are: children of God. And that’s only the beginning. Who knows how we’ll end up! What we know is that when Christ is openly revealed, we’ll see him – and in seeing him, become like him (1 John 3:1-2 MSG).

It’s so easy sometimes to believe what the enemy, friends, family or culture has said about us, isn’t it? As a result, we end up living so far beneath the promises that the Father has declared over us.

But it's time to know, believe and live what your Daddy says about you! Declare these truths out loud over your life:

I am forgiven (1 John 1:9).
I am sanctified (1 Corinthians 1:2).
I am more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37).
I am free (John 8:36).
I am accepted (Ephesians 1:13).
I am created for good works (Ephesians 2:10).
I am a shining light (Ephesians 5:8).
I can do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:13).
I am not condemned (Romans 8:1).
I am the righteousness of God in Christ (1 Corinthians 1:30).
I am an heir of God (Romans 8:17).
